Following are the 7 most common wedding planning mistakes that you should avoid:

Plan ahead – Don’t procrastinate:
While planning for a wedding, there are many arrangements to be taken care off. Sit down and make a list of all the tasks to be done. Prioritize your work. Don’t wait to book the vendors and wedding venues at the end. This way you can avoid stress and panic at the final moment. The more time you have to plan in advance, the better it will be.

Don’t hire the first vendor you meet:
Interview the vendors and check out the items on your own before you finalize. Make sure the vendors are professional and provide quality service at the time of reception. Ask for the portfolio and check their previous work. If doubtful, don’t hesitate to call the previous client for reviews, it’s your wedding ceremony, there is no way you can take chances, face problems and repent later.

Maintain a budget:
People usually overspend on wedding arrangements and are shocked to see the overall expenditure. To avoid such situation, fix a budget and make arrangements accordingly. Don’t invite too many guests. You can surely have your dream wedding on a budget if you plan well.

Don’t be your own wedding planner:
If you are good at managing projects at your professional workplace, it doesn’t mean you can plan your wedding equally well. Instead of taking chances, hire a professional wedding planner with years of experience that can handle all the work on his own. On your wedding day, you must be relaxing and enjoying and getting ready for the ceremonies.

Have an alternate location ready:
Thinking it could never rain on my wedding day is total foolishness. You never know what can happen. So it’s advisable to have an alternate location ready in case you have an outdoor wedding arrangement.

Involve other people:
Involving friends and family is always helpful. It’s good that you are able to handle all the work on your own, but what if you are not considering some important areas? It’s better to talk about your ideas and research in detail with others and take advice if necessary.

Losing perspective:
Keep your focus on important aspects and don’t waste time in small details. Always look at the bigger picture and keep your sense of humor alive.

Always remember, the key to a happy and well organized wedding is preparation and organization. Always follow the above mentioned tips in order to have hassle-free celebration.
